The Exclude from Asset Allocation tick-box will work based on the below two points:
- If the investment is a direct asset which has no platform relation (like an ordinary share), then the check of Exclude from Asset Allocation will work in the direct asset level itself.
- If the investment is a portfolio account via a platform, the Exclude from Asset Allocation check will work on a platform/account level, which will allow all of the underlying assets to be affected too.
If you want to apply the Exclude from Asset Allocation check on only one or some of the underlying assets within an account/platform, it will not work. The platform/account setting will apply to all the underlying assets and you cannot modify the setting under individual assets in the account/platform.
